Generous spirit shown at Harvest Festival

 In News

Year 3 and 4 pupils celebrated Harvest Festival by encouraging people to support their local Food Bank.

Our caring children sent a letter to all parents to get as many donations to our local food bank as we could. To raise awareness, Years 3 and 4 also put on a harvest festival assembly – and their performance was inspiring and full of smiles.

Mrs Ash, our Year 3 and 4 class teacher, said: “The children have worked extremely hard practising the harvest songs and have been very proud to show our visitors the amazing donations that have been raised by Newton Road School.

Darcie, from Owls Class, added:Our class were amazing at singing and I couldn’t believe how many donations there were!”
